According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 24-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a LA County Metro bus in Rancho Palos Verdes Wednesday, August 17, 2022
The collision occurred Wednesday on South Palos Verde Boulevard, near the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Dylan L., Shawna Landon’s 24-year-old son, was hit by a bus while walking in the bike lane.
Shawna Landon says that the bus driver kept going and didn’t stop until about a mile and a half later when he called to say someone had broken into his bus.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said that their investigation has not ruled out a criminal case, but they are still waiting for reports from the coroner’s office.
Metro wrote a statement that said, “We are still working closely with our law enforcement partners and our internal team to look into this tragic bus accident and figure out what happened.”
Barta is asking that person or anyone else with information about this case to call his law office at 310-479-1454.
