A 19-year-old man sustained major injuries after a car vs. train collision in Goshen, Tulare County, on Friday morning, August 18, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near Road 52 just after 10:00 a.m.
The driver stopped at the tracks for unknown reasons, and the train plowed into him, dragging the car a hundred yards.
CHP personnel successfully rescued the victim from the wreckage. Thankfully, the driver survived the collision but suffered major injuries.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending an investigation.
