A 31-year-old Oroville man was killed after a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 on Sunday morning, August 21, 2022.
The crash occurred at 5:20 a.m. on Highway 99, close to Hutchinson Road.
According to the authorities, the 31-year-old driver ran off the road and into a ditch east of the highway.
The man ended up in the northbound lanes. He was hit by another car at that point.
He attempted to flag down other vehicles after crashing his car.
According to the CHP, both drivers stopped and are helping with the investigation.
Authorities stated that they believed alcohol played a role in the collision.
