[08-21-2022] Sutter County, CA - Two Men Killed Following a Train Crash Near State Route 65According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), two men died after the car they were riding in was hit by a train on Sunday afternoon, August 21, 2022.

The collision happened around 1:00 p.m. near State Route 65 and Dairy Road.

A black Chevy Silverado driving on a private road tried to cross railroad tracks. The vehicle was in front of the train during the accident.

The train started blowing its horn, but the truck did not swerve out of the way.

The train collided with the truck’s right side, and the truck’s two occupants died on the spot.
