[08-22-2022] 67-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured Following a Motorcycle Accident on Highway 108A 67-year-old motorcyclist from Modesto was killed after a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck carrying bees in western Tuolumne on Monday, August 22, 2022.

According to The Union Democrat, the collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. a few miles west of La Grange Road junction.

According to investigators, the crash happened when a 62-year-old Oakdale man tried to cross Highway 108 with his Chevy truck from Rushing Hill Lookout Road. A man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound collided with the truck’s passenger side as it crossed the highway.

The motorcyclist died on the scene despite wearing a helmet.

The truck’s driver did not sustain any injuries. One of the beekeeper boxes on the truck containing live bees was cracked.

According to the responding California Highway Patrol officer, no one was seriously injured.

The crash is under investigation.
