Multiple motorists and passengers sustained minor injuries after five vehicles became involved in a multi-car crash in Antioch on Tuesday afternoon, August 22, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to the scene at around 3:05 p.m. on eastbound Highway 4 at Somersville Road in Antioch.
Five vehicles were confirmed to be involved on-site, and an overturned pest control truck may be a potential fire hazard due to a possible fluid leak.
The actual number of injured individuals was not specified, but at least one person was taken to the hospital by the American Medical Response,
