[08-23-2022] One Person Trapped Following Two-Vehicle Crash in LancasterOne driver was trapped following a two-vehicle traffic accident in Lancaster on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue M and 70th Street West in Lancaster.

According to witnesses, the gray sedan was moving east on Avenue M when he stopped at a stop sign.

A white sedan driving south on 70th West apparently ran the stop sign and struck the gray sedan as it continued to move east.

The trapped driver of the gray sedan received assistance from onlookers at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station all arrived on the scene within minutes of getting the call.

The sedan’s doors were forced open by firefighters using The Jaws of Life to free the car’s trapped driver.
He was taken in stable condition to a nearby hospital.

His family members arrived on the scene and thanked the witnesses and onlookers who had called his family and provided aid as the trapped driver was being transported.
