A male pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run accident on Thursday, night, August 25, 2022 in East Hemet.
According to the CHP, the fatality happened around 11:55 p.m. near the intersection of Columbia Street and Stetson Avenue.
According to Officer Jason M., the victim was walking along Stetson, east of Columbia, when the driver of a gray Honda sedan came in from the east.
The car struck the pedestrian and continued traveling.
The victim’s identity was not made public right away.
Within a short period, paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and declared the victim dead.
The reason for the man’s late-night stroll and his intended destination were both unknown.
