[08-27-2022] Kern County, CA - A DUI Crash Resulted in the Death of One Man and the Injury of Two Women in LebecOne man died, and two women suffered injuries after a DUI accident in Lebec on Saturday evening, August 27, 2022.

According to the CHP, the crash happened around 7:11 p.m. on I-5 north of Lebec Service Road.

The vehicle involved was a Toyota Solara.

According to the local authorities, a 20-year-old male Bakersfield resident was discovered dead at the scene, and an 18-year-old Bakersfield resident, Erika H., was injured. They were both travelers.

The identity of the deceased passenger is still unknown and has not been made public.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old driver, Deleah J., a Bakersfield resident, was also hurt and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Johnson was taken to Kern Medical for care before being detained on suspicion of felony DUI.

There are upcoming charges as well. The inquiry is still ongoing.
