[08-28-2023] Contra Costa County, CA – Unidentified Male Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Walnut Creek

An unidentified male pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Walnut Creek on Monday, August 28, 2023.

The Walnut Creek Police Department reported that a car struck a pedestrian near South Main Street and Botelho Drive.

An investigation by the police revealed that the pedestrian was struck by a black vehicle coming out of the garage while crossing South Main Street in the crosswalk.

Despite suffering a cut on the head, the victim remained coherent. His wife was with him when the incident happened.

Officials said the victim was transported to John Muir Trauma Center, and the vehicle involved in the crash was towed to the police station.

The authorities did not release further details about the incident, including the exact time it happened. Anyone with information related to the crash should contact the authorities immediately.
