[08-29-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Driver Sideswiped Dozens of Parked Vehicles in South LA

A motorist sideswiped dozens of vehicles while driving down a street in Los Angeles’ Vermont Square area late Monday night, August 29, 2022.

The accident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Vermont Avenue, between West Vernon Avenue and 41st Street, was where the vehicles were parked.

According to witnesses, a white pickup truck was driving northbound on South Vermont Avenue.

According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, the motorist hit up to 30 vehicles before coming to a stop.

According to investigators, the driver may have experienced a medical emergency before the accident.

An ambulance was seen leaving the site with the driver.

Los Angeles police department officer Tony Im confirmed that the motorist was found not to be driving under the influence.

After examining the driver at a nearby hospital, investigators found the cause was merely an accident.

The owners of the hit cars were spotted inspecting the damage along Vermont Avenue.
