Two men died after a fatal head-on collision in Wood Hills on Monday, August 29, 2022.

The crash occurred around 11:35 p.m. along Victory Boulevard, just east of Mason Avenue.

When first responders arrived, the two cars collided. Identified as a Chevrolet sedan and an SUV. The drivers were trapped inside while firefighters worked to free them from the wreckage.

One man, identified as Armen Benglyan, 24, of Northridge, was declared dead.

A 30-year-old man operating the second car was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has withheld the second driver’s name until his family has been notified.

The authorities have not received any reports from eyewitnesses. However, the crash was heard by many people nearby.
