[08-30-2022] Butte County, CA - Fatal Head-on Collision Results One Death and Three Injuries on Neal RoadA motorcyclist, Chico Man, 47, died from severe injuries after a head-on collision on Neal Road Tuesday night, August 30, 2022.

According to the CHP, the accident happened around 7:35 a.m. on northbound Neal Road in the southbound lane. The motorcycle was traveling through a right curve.

The vehicles involved are a 2-22 Harley Davidson and a 2021 BMW SUV.

According to the CHP, the collision caused the rider to be thrown from his motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider suffered severe wounds and was later declared dead at the Enloe Medical Center.

The BMW’s passenger, who was taken for treatment at Enloe after the collision, also sustained significant injuries.

Two additional passengers in the BMW suffered minor injuries due to the collision.

According to the CHP, distracted driving and drunk driving are still being investigated as possible causes of the collision.

Further notification is pending before revealing the rider’s identity.
