A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a sedan on D Street in Apple Valley on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022.
It occurred at about 7:31 a.m., near 11th Street.
According to Sheriff’s spokesperson Tricia Blake, the pedestrian was walking across the roadway when he was hit by a silver four-door Chevy car.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The road was reopened just before noon.
The identity of the deceased Hispanic female was not released until her family was notified.
The case remains under investigation.
