[08-30-2022] A Young Boy Fatally Died After a Pedestrian Crash in GoletaA young boy was struck and died after a pedestrian crash involving a car in Goleta on Tuesday afternoon, August 30, 2022.

The crash transpired at 2:50 p.m. in the 67 block of Nectarine Avenue.

According to Capt. Scott S. discovered the boy was suffering from traumatic injuries and took him right away to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

The Major Incident Response Team of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the collision.

Local authorities kept the child’s identity until the next of kin.
