A 9-year-old girl and her mother were injured after their car crashed in Shadow Hills, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, August 30, 2023.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the collision around 8:00 a.m. on the 10300 block of West Wentworth Street.
Authorities stated that the mother and daughter’s car went over the side and plunged down an embankment approximately 40 feet below.
Officials said the two patients were rescued using an aerial ladder and taken to the street level, where ambulances awaited. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment after sustaining moderate injuries.
Further details regarding the individuals involved were not released. There is an investigation underway into the crash.
