A 31-year-old male passenger died, and a 30-year-old female and a 4-year-old boy suffered minor injuries after a single-rollover crash on Highway 62 Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022.
The accident occurred around 5:10 a.m., west on Highway 62 near Ironage Road.
According to the CHP report, the driver may have been tired because they veered to the right, drove off the road, and into an open area of desert, rolling over several times.
The 31-year-old passenger was thrown from the car because he wasn’t buckled up.
At the same time, the local authorities took the other two to Desert Regional Medical Center to treat minor injuries.
The male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still being investigated, but it doesn’t seem like drugs or alcohol were involved.
