[08-31-2023] Female Driver Killed, Male Passenger Injured After Solo-Vehicle Crash in Palos Verdes EstatesA female driver was killed, while her male passenger was injured following a solo-vehicle crash in Palos Verdes Estates on Thursday afternoon, August 31, 2023.

According to the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department, the incident occurred in the 1700 block of Palos Verdes Drive West at around 12:44 p.m.

PVEPD officers reported a fatal traffic collision involving a Toyota Tundra that was heading south when it struck a curb bordering the center median. The truck subsequently struck a tree and overturned, ejecting its female driver.

Los Angeles County Fire Department medical personnel rendered aid to both the vehicle’s occupants. The male victim was then taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information was released regarding the identities of the two victims, pending the results of the investigation.
