The collision occurred around 2:49 a.m. on Interstate 80 at Hilltop Drive.
According to the authorities, the collision involved three vehicles.
At the scene, one of the victims was pronounced dead.
According to the officials, the other victims were reportedly rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The police have not yet disclosed the victims’ identities.
The eastbound lanes are partially blocked while the situation is being investigated.
