[09-01-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Injured Several People and Causes Oil Spill in Commerce

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fiery collision injured several people involving a big rig and at least two other vehicles, leading to an oil spill in Commerce Thursday, September 1, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 11:50 p.m. on the northbound freeway at Bandini Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol discovered that the semi had hit at least two other cars—a black sedan and a black Ford Mustang.

The semi caught fire, and oil got all over the highway’s northbound lanes.

The street sweeper that was sent to clean up the oil spill caught fire, and its driver was taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is still being looked into.
