Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics

As a state’s economy grows, so does the number of car accidents. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that in 2010, 3,304 people died in car accidents.

In California, it can be hazardous to drive a car. These accidents could have been avoided if the drivers had done more. Mistakes made by people cause more than 94% of accidents.

Depending on how bad it is, a car accident injury can hurt or even put your life in danger. Because there are so many car accidents, it’s easy for drivers to forget how dangerous they are.

A multi-vehicle accident is when three or more cars crash into each other. When six cars crash head-on, this is called a pileup.

A new NHTSA study says more than 13,000 people died in multi-car accidents in 2010.

San Diego County Car Accident Lawyers

Only two people are involved in a two-car accident, so it is easier to go to court. Things get more complicated when more than one vehicle is involved in an accident.

It is harder to figure out who is at fault. Many people could have been hurt if more than one car had crashed.

Because it can be hard to figure out who was at fault in a crash with more than one car, you may not want to trust an insurance company. Insurance companies care more about their finances than their customers, so don’t expect your claim to be handled quickly.
