One person was killed after a pursuit led to a two-vehicle crash in Fontana on Wednesday afternoon, September 4, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pursuit began at around 1:15 p.m. on the 15 Freeway when the suspect, driving a white SUV, fled a traffic stop.
Authorities stated that the suspect later collided with a red Mustang at the intersection of Cherry and Beech Avenues.
The driver of the Mustang, who was crossing the intersection, was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
