[09-05-2022] San Diego, CA - San Diego Officer Injured in a Collision with a Suspected DUI Driver on Interstate 15According to an ABC 10 report, a San Diego police officer was hurt after a woman suspected of DUI rear-ended his patrol car along I-15 early Monday morning, September 05, 2022.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. near Friars Road.

According to Fox 5 San Diego, the officer stopped along I-15 while assisting a disabled driver with a tow truck when a woman driving a Land Rover smashed into the back of the patrol car.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, the woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No other information was released.

The accident remains under investigation.
