[09-06-2022] Monterey County, CA – Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves at least Two People Died in GreenfieldAt least two fatalities were reported after a single-vehicle crash in Greenfield Tuesday night, September 6, 2022.

The crash transpired around 8:30 p.m. westbound on 14th Avenue and Cypress Avenue.

According to the CHP, the man and woman traveled for an unknown reason when collided with a wooden post. The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee overturned into an irrigation pond, ejecting both of its occupants.

Unfortunately, both of them passed away there and then. Alcohol or drug use may have contributed to this collision, but this is unknown.

Notifying the victim’s next of kin has not yet been made public.
