[09-06-2023] Pedestrian Dead Following Fatal Collision With Vehicle on 134 Freeway in BurbankA pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle along the 134 Freeway in Burbank on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports around 3:07 a.m. at the westbound Ventura Freeway, just west of South Buena Vista Drive.

Shortly after arriving, officers located the victim lying on the second lane of the freeway and declared the individual dead on the scene. Initial investigation stated that the pedestrian died after getting hit by a Toyota Prius.

Authorities did not indicate whether any influence or substance impaired the driver or whether the driver remained at the scene.

During the investigation by the CHP, all westbound lanes of the freeway and the Buena Vista were closed. The officials involved did not release the victim’s identity to the public.
