[09-07-2022] Contra Costa County, CA – Multiple People Injured in Big Rig Crash on I-580 in Richmond

According to the authorities, several people were injured in a big rig collision west of Bayview Avenue near El Cerrito Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

The crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on eastbound Interstate-580 in Richmond.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was caused by a semi-truck colliding with the median. Following the collision, a vehicle was flipped over, which caused traffic backup because it was in the way.
