[09-07-2022] One Worker Killed in Fatal Traffic Collision on Interstate 5According to the  California Highway Patrol, a worker was killed after being hit by a car in Sacramento on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 in Sacramento.

The CHP reported that a maroon minivan collided with a Caltrans subcontracted cone truck.

When they were struck, two workers who were working outside the truck were closing a section of the road.

One of the workers passed away, and the other was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital.

It is unknown what caused the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
