[09-08-2022] Butte County, CA - Pedestrian Man Severely Injured After Being Struck on Highway 32According to the authorities, a man was taken to the hospital for treatment after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 32 in Chico on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

The crash occurred at 1:50 p.m. on Highway 32 south of W. East Avenue and north of W. Lindo Avenue, causing traffic to be shut down in both directions.

The victim’s identity is not yet known, and the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Just before 4:30 in the afternoon, the lane that travels north was made available again. Additionally, the southbound lane was made available for traffic shortly after 5:00 p.m.

The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the collision.
