The collision occurred just after 9:30 a.m., about a mile west of Foothill Boulevard.

Reports state that the collision sent a silver pickup truck sliding down an embankment, injuring the driver in an unspecified manner.

Authorities eventually located the hit-and-run suspect and detained them on related hit-and-run charges. All parties involved in the accident have, however, remained anonymous.

Additionally, the road was briefly closed in both directions to facilitate cleanup and preliminary tasks, but it has since been reopened.
