According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), a man was hit and killed while crossing the street in Rancho Bernardo on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
The accident happened at about 8:15 p.m. near 15500 Bernardo Center Drive.
According to SDPD, the driver did not stop after hitting the person.
According to authorities, the victim was transferred to a local hospital but died due to his injuries. His identity was not made public.
According to police, the motorist turned himself in at SDPD headquarters on Monday, around 12:30 a.m.
Officials have not yet revealed the driver’s identity or the charges he may face.
The investigation is still ongoing.
