According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), a 30-year-old male worker was found unconscious in an aircraft fuel tank at the FedEx Hub on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
The accident occurred at 12:38 a.m. in Los Angeles’ Westchester district, in the 5900 block of West Imperial Highway.
The Los Angeles firefighters rescued the worker after he was unconscious while doing maintenance on a commercial cargo plane.
He was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
According to LAFD, five additional individuals were assessed and are not likely to require medical treatment.
There is no other information available at this time.
The accident is being investigated further.
