[09-14-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Officials Identified a Hispanic Man Who Died Following a Fiery Crash in Monterey Park

Identified as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, who died after a two-vehicle collision in Monterey Park on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2022; as they stood by a disabled vehicle, another vehicle caught fire.

The traffic accident happened just before 12:02 a.m. on the westbound 60 Freeway, close to the Greenwood Avenue overpass. The collision appeared to involve two vehicles, one of which caught fire.

The California Highway Patrol found an unresponsive victim not breathing in the #1 lane. The CHP East, Los Angeles Division, responded and handled the investigation.

The Montebello Fire Department responded and extinguished the raging auto fire.

According to the local authorities, they identified the driver of that car as a Hispanic man who was about 38 years old, unharmed but shaken.

The CHP is still looking into the accident.
