[09-14-2022] Sacramento County, CA – RT Bus Struck Pedestrian in North Highlands

A pedestrian was hit by a Sacramento Regional Transit bus in North Highlands on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2022.

The accident occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Orange Grove Avenue, north of Interstate 80.

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the pedestrian had to be pulled from under the bus.

According to Metro Fire, the pedestrian was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The degree of their injuries and condition was not immediately known.

According to a photo shared by Metro Fire, the collision involved RT bus No. 2852.

The investigation is still ongoing.
