Truck Accident Statistics

In the United States, there are approximately 13 million trucks on the road, and while they play a vital role in the economy, they can also be extremely dangerous. In 2016, nearly 4,000 truck-related fatalities were reported, and many of these accidents involved motorcycles.

There are several reasons for this, but the most common is that motorcycle riders are less visible to truck drivers. They are also more likely to be thrown from their bikes in an accident, which can often result in fatal injuries.

Truck drivers need to be extra vigilant when sharing the road with motorcycles, and riders need to be aware of the dangers posed by trucks. By taking these precautions, we can help to reduce the number of motorcycle-related accidents on our highways.

Monterey County Truck Accident Statistics

Several factors contribute to the severity of truck and motorcycle accidents. First, trucks are much larger and heavier than motorcycles, so they can cause more damage in a collision. Second, motorcycles offer less protection than trucks, so riders are more likely to be seriously injured or killed in an accident. Finally, trucks often have large blind spots, making it difficult for drivers to see motorcycles.

If you or a loved one has been involved in a truck accident, it is important to seek legal assistance as soon as possible. Truck accident cases can be complex, and the laws governing these accidents are different from those governing car accidents. An experienced truck accident lawyer will have the knowledge and resources necessary to investigate the cause of the accident and hold the responsible parties accountable.
