Steps To Take After A Pedestrian Accident In Victorville, CA

It is difficult to think rationally after being struck by a vehicle, much less if you sustained injuries. However, the things you say and do at the site of the accident might have a big impact on your subsequent claims against the at-fault party. These tips can help you avoid actions that might lower the value of your personal injury claim:

  1. Check yourself for injuries. For emergencies, call 911 and the law enforcement officers after the accident.
  2. Take pictures of your injuries, the accident scene, and other details, such as the weather conditions, the road conditions, and the vehicle that hit you.
  3. Get the driver’s information, including their name, address, contact number, vehicle’s license plate, insurance details, and driver’s license.
  4. Get all eyewitnesses’ names and contact information or the names of anyone who saw the accident.
  5. Consult a doctor immediately and tell them about every affected portion of your body.
  6. Keep a record of your injuries and recovery process, including how you feel, your treatment, and your expenses.
  7. Do not speak to the insurance adjuster or accept a settlement offer until you have spoken with an expert lawyer.
  8. Remain off social media and refrain from sharing posts about getting into accidents or their details.
  9. Contact California pedestrian accident attorneys right away to discuss your case.
