[09-16-2022] Motorcyclist Dead After Being Struck By Pickup Truck in Long BeachAccording to the authorities, a motorcyclist was fatally injured when he was struck by a pickup truck in Long Beach Friday, September 16, 2022.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash occurred at 9:20 p.m. eastbound 19th Street to northbound Atlantic.

The biker was going south on Atlantic Avenue and was getting close to 19th Street when a 2014 Toyota Tundra turned left from eastbound 19th Street onto northbound Atlantic.

The 59-year-old man driving the Toyota pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, who couldn’t avoid hitting the truck.

Good Samaritans came to help the man. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics but died from his injuries.

Police said that the crash was not caused by drugs, alcohol, or a driver who was not paying attention.
