[09-17-2022] Kern County, CA - One Person Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles in Northwest BakersfieldA pedestrian was killed late after being hit by several vehicles in Northwest Bakersfield on Friday night, September 17, 2022.

The Bakersfield Police Department reports that around 11:00 p.m. on the 11600 block of Olive Drive.

The officers were called where they discovered a pedestrian had been hit by several vehicles. They were declared dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was lying on the road when the cars hit them.

The reason behind the person lying on the road is currently unknown. Alcohol and drugs are currently unknown factors.

The victim’s identity has not been publicly disclosed at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
