One person died after a fatal two-vehicle collision near Gorda on Monday, September 19, 2022.

The crash transpired around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 1.

According to the CHP, two vehicles were involved in the collision on the southbound side of the highway.

Local authorities did not immediately disclose the deceased party’s identity.

It’s unclear if any of the incident’s other participants suffered injuries.
