Fatal Rollover Crash Statistics
Rollovers are some of the most hazardous accidents that can happen on the road. They can result in severe injuries or even death and are frequently brought on by a driver losing control of their car.
According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 10% of all traffic fatalities in 2018 were caused by rollover accidents. Rollover collisions are not only dangerous but also expensive. According to a study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the average cost of these accidents in terms of property damage, medical expenses, and lost productivity is $12 billion annually.
Driving defensively and adhering to posted speed limits can help prevent rollover collisions.
