According to California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was killed by a car in the Cajon Pass while crossing southbound Interstate 15 in the slow lane on Tuesday night, September 20, 2022.
The fatal collision occurred at 11:27 p.m. on Interstate 15 southbound at the Cleghorn Road offramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic log, the pedestrian was moving through the traffic lanes.
The pedestrian who had been struck and was discovered unresponsive in the offramp was there when CHP arrived on the scene.
After initial CPR attempts failed, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who was involved in the collision reportedly stayed on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
