[09-21-2022] 61-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in ClovisOne man was critically injured following a motorcycle accident in Clovis on Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2022.

The crash occurred at 5:26 p.m. at Highway 168 and North Academy Avenue

According to Sgt. Tim Ray, a man riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a vehicle and was ejected. The California Highway Patrol responded to the two-vehicle collision.

The rider’s head hit the pavement in the eastbound lanes of Highway 168 while wearing a skull cap that had come loose.

According to Ray, the motorcycle rider was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Ray stated that the motorcycle rider was driving behind a 2015 Scion driven by a 59-year-old woman.

The motorcycle rider failed to slow down as the woman slowed to make a left turn, resulting in a collision with the left rear of the car.

The woman provided medical aid to the injured man.

Ray claimed that drugs or alcohol did not play any role in the collision.
