[09-21-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision Resulted in Heavy Traffic on Magic Mountain Parkway

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a two-vehicle crash resulted in several people getting injured on Interstate 5 Wednesday afternoon, September 21, 2022.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at 1:33 p.m. east of Interstate 5 and north of Magic Mountain Parkway.

The officials with the California Highway Patrol in Newhall stated that a traffic collision involving two vehicles caused multiple lanes to become blocked, which in turn caused a traffic backup to develop.

The collision prevented traffic from moving in multiple directions, as Ramon Kendricks, a spokesman for the CHP Newhall Office.

There was currently no information available regarding the number of people who were injured or taken to the hospital.

The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the collision.
