Around 2:20 p.m., the woman was traveling southbound on 1900 Pershing Drive on a 2020 Ducati motorcycle.
According to the SDPD, a 75-year-old man operating a 2015 GMC pickup truck failed to see and sidestepped the woman.
When the woman only complained of pain, officers responded to the collision and cleared the scene as a minor injury accident, according to the SDPD. The truck’s driver did not sustain any wounds.
However, when SDPD officers followed up at the hospital, they discovered the woman had suffered a pelvic fracture. The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
