[09-23-2022] Glenn County, CA – 50-Year-Old motorcyclist Struck by a 20-Year-Old Vehicle Driver in Ordbend

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old man struck a 50-year-old man riding a motorcycle in Glenn County on Friday night, September 23, 2022.

The collision happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Highway 45 near County Road 34, south of Ordbend.

A 20-year-old Chico man was driving a car south when he attempted to pass another vehicle. At that point, the motorcyclist was traveling north on Highway 45 when the vehicle driver struck him.

The motorcyclist was flown by helicopter to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with serious injuries.

Highway 45 was shut down for about an hour.

The crash is to be further investigated.
