[09-23-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Train in Sun Valley

A train hit and killed a pedestrian in Sun Valley on Friday evening, September 23, 2022.

According to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Los Angeles Fire Department dispatched paramedics at 7:16 p.m. to 9449 San Fernando Road, near Sheldon Street, on reports of an accident and discovered the victim down on the railway tracks.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The victim’s identity has been withheld pending notification of the family.

According to Stewart, no one aboard the train was hurt.

The causes of the crash were being investigated.
