Multi-Vehicle Accident Statistics
Multi-vehicle accidents are becoming increasingly common on the nation’s highways. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 20% of all traffic accidents involve two or more vehicles.
Several factors contribute to multi-vehicle accidents, but the most common cause is distracted driving. When drivers are not paying attention to the road, they are less likely to see potential hazards and more likely to cause accidents.
Other causes of multi-vehicle accidents include fatigue, weather conditions, and mechanical problems. Regardless of the cause, multi-vehicle accidents often result in serious injuries and property damage. That’s why it’s so important for drivers to stay focused and alert when behind the wheel.
