Statistics of Motorcycle Accidents

Every year, there are too many motorcycle accidents. The number of motorcycle deaths in the United States alone increased to more than 5,000 in 2018. It is true that motorcycles can be a lot of fun, but they can also cause serious injuries or even death.

There is a greater risk of injury in motorcycle accidents than in accidents involving other types of cars. Motorcyclists have less protection and are more likely to be thrown off their bikes in a crash than people in cars or trucks.

Motorcyclists are also harder to see than cars, making it more difficult for them to avoid accidents.

There are many different factors that can cause a motorcycle accident. The following are some of the most common:

  • Driving too fast for the weather or road conditions
  • Riders with no experience
  • Driving while distracted
  • Driving while high on drugs or alcohol is against the law.
  • Roads in bad shape
  • Bad parts for motorcycles

It is also possible for motorcycle accidents to occur due to bad weather. Motorcycle riders may find it difficult to stop or turn quickly on wet roads.
