[09-27-2022] Riverside County, CA – Three People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Menifee

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at a Menifee intersection on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the collision happened around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Murphy Ranch and Newport roads.

According to the fire department, multiple engine crews were dispatched to the scene and discovered one of the victims trapped in the debris. Firefighters had to use heavy machinery to free the patient, whose identity was not released.

The extrication was finished within twenty minutes.

Major injuries were sustained by the victim who was trapped inside the car, as well as another victim. A third victim suffered minor injuries.

All three were transported to a nearby trauma center for medical attention.

The Menifee Police Department is still investigating the collision, which was not immediately clear what caused it.

The collision caused a partial closure of the intersection.
