Traffic Accident Statistics

Traffic accidents are a leading cause of death and injury worldwide. There are over six million car accidents in the United States each year. According to the California of Traffic Safety, traffic fatalities decreased 5.1% from 3,798 in 2018 to 3,606 in 2019.

The leading cause of traffic accidents is distracted driving. This can include anything from talking on the phone to eating to changing the radio station. Inattention behind the wheel is extremely dangerous and increases your risk of being involved in an accident. Other leading causes of traffic accidents include intoxication (drugs or alcohol), speeding, and weather conditions.

You can do several things to help prevent being involved in a traffic accident. First and foremost, pay attention to the road when you’re driving. Avoid distractions such as your phone or other passengers in the car. Second, always obey the posted speed limit—speeding significantly increases your chances of being involved in an accident. Third, be aware of adverse weather conditions and slow down if necessary. Following these simple guidelines can help keep yourself safe on the road.

Orange County Traffic Accident Lawyers

Being involved in a traffic accident is a harrowing experience. Here are the top five reasons you need an Orange County traffic accident lawyer at Arash Law on your side:

Reason #1: You May Be Entitled to Compensation
If you’ve been injured in a traffic accident, you may be entitled to compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, and other damages. Our legal team knows how to investigate your case and build a strong argument for compensation.

Reason #2: The Insurance Company May Not Have Your Best Interests at Heart
Insurance companies are in the business of making money, not paying out claims. After a traffic accident, the insurance adjuster may try to lowball you or push you to accept a settlement far less than you deserve. Our attorneys fight for the best possible outcome on your behalf.

Reason #3: You May Be Facing Serious Legal Consequences
Depending on your accident’s circumstances, you may face serious legal consequences, such as jail time, fines, and a loss of driving privileges. Arash Law can help you understand the charges against you and develop a strong defense.

Reason #4: The Statute of Limitations May Be Approaching
In California, the statute of limitations for filing a personal injury lawsuit is two years from the date of the accident. This means that if you wait too long to take legal action, you may be unable to obtain compensation for your injuries. We can ensure that your case is filed in a timely manner.

Reason #5: A Traffic Accident Lawyer Can Help Reduce Your Stress Levels
Dealing with a traffic accident is stressful enough without having to worry about mounting medical bills, insurance claims, and legal troubles. We can handle all the logistics of your case so that you can focus on recovery.
