[10-03-2022] Santa Clara County, CA - 16-Year-Old Girl Killed After Being Struck by Five Vehicles on I-680 in San JoseAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old girl was killed in a pedestrian crash after she was struck by several vehicles on Interstate 680 in San Jose Monday, October 3, 2022.

The crash transpired before 12:37 a.m. on I-680 southbound south of Jackson Avenue.

The CHP claims evidence suggests the girl ran out in front of a GMC Canyon and was fatally struck.

According to CHP, five vehicles drove over her dead body after falling onto the roadway. A tractor-trailer combination was identified as one of the vehicles that crashed into her.

A driver swerved to avoid hitting the girl’s body but ended up rolling their car off the road and onto the shoulder. The motorist walked away unscathed.

The California Highway Patrol has stated its ongoing investigation into the collision.
